Menifee Union School District Governing Board President, Mrs. Jackie Johansen, Board Members Mr. Bob O’Donnell and Mr. Xavier Padilla, Superintendent, Dr. Jennifer Root, MUSD Cabinet, and staff were joined by City of Menifee Mayor, Mr. Bill Zimmerman, City Council Members Mr. Bob Karwin and Mr. Matt Liesemeyer, as they celebrated the groundbreaking of MUSD Middle School #4.
Under the watchful eye of the Measure Q Bond Oversite Committee, this state of the art facility will be built to serve MUSD students, staff and the community for generations to come beginning in the 2023/24 school year. The school will be located on Audie Murphy Ranch Rd., in the Audie Murphy Ranch development.
Members of the Measure Q Bond Oversite Committee, President, Mrs. Gloria Sanchez, Mr. Ken Fregin, Ms. Debbi Manion, Michael Knighten, Marc Haist and representatives from Erikson Hall Construction, PBK-WLC Architects, and Telacu Construction companies who designed, and will construct MS#4 were there to join in the celebration.
During construction, MUSD will be reaching out to families who may be affected by potential boundary changes for their input. Meetings will be held with the community to gather additional input. After receiving communication from stakeholders, any adjustments needed will be made prior to the final vote by the Governing Board.
