Dear HCMS Families,

Earlier today, Principal Lyman informed the HCMS community of a threat of violence on social media that was specific only to HCMS. District staff have been working closely with the Menifee Police Department all evening and although we were hopeful the situation would be resolved, they are still actively investigating the threat. Due to the continued investigation, and out of an abundance of caution, HCMS will be closed on Thursday, June 2, 2022.  The 8th Grade Awards Night will also be canceled for tomorrow but will be rescheduled at a later date. 

Students will continue to have the opportunity to access their academic work for the day through Google Classroom.

As always, we appreciate the support of our community in ensuring that we maintain the safety and security of our students and our staff. Additionally, we are grateful as always for the support of the Menifee Police Department. An update regarding the status of school for Friday, June 3, 2022 will be sent out Thursday afternoon.
